Day 1: Marrakech to Zagora – Lghoula, the Gateway to the Trek

Start your journey from Marrakech, with an optional pickup from Agadir or other Moroccan cities. Arrive in Zagora, where a 4×4 will take you to the Lghoula entrance, the only gateway through the Jebel Bani mountains. Cross the breathtaking Elfayja region to the other side, where the first camp awaits at the site of ancient painting rocks. Enjoy a night under the stars surrounded by rich history and serene desert beauty.

Day 2: Elfayja to Zawiat Elmhasser Oasis

After a hearty breakfast, begin your trek southward. Traverse captivating desert landscapes and valleys to reach the secluded oasis of Zawiat Elmhasser. This tranquil oasis offers a refreshing stop in the heart of the desert, with lush palm groves and serene surroundings perfect for relaxation after a rewarding day of exploration.

Day 3: Zawiat Elmhasser to Guelta Elmsafi

Bid farewell to your camel team and travel by 4×4 through Lake Iriki’s dry salt flats and the stunning tajine-shaped mountains to reach Foum Zguid. From there, take a comfortable minibus for your return journey to Marrakech, bringing an end to your unforgettable desert adventure.
