Day 1: Fes to Merzouga (467 km)

Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Fes through the Middle Atlas Mountains. First, stop in the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can spot Barbary Apes playing among the trees. Then, continue toward Midelt and pass through the lush Ziz Valley, admiring its palm groves and dramatic gorges.

As the sun begins to set, arrive in Merzouga and receive a warm Moroccan welcome. Spend the night in a comfortable riad or hotel, preparing for the desert adventure ahead.

Day 2: Merzouga Exploration & Camel Trek (45 km)

After breakfast, delve into the local culture with a visit to a nearby village inhabited by descendants of Mali. Here, you’ll experience their music and learn about their way of life. Next, head to Miffis Mines to gain insight into the region’s mining history and enjoy sweeping views of the desert.

Later in the day, meet your camels and trek through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. As night falls, settle into a traditional desert camp, where you’ll dine under the stars and enjoy music by the campfire.

Day 3: Merzouga to Dades Valley (255 km)
