8 Days Trekking from Ouzoud to Bin El Ouidane Lake Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Ouzoud Waterfalls
Arrival at Ouzoud village, meeting with your mountain guide and mule team. Walk down to the base of the waterfalls, enjoy nature and observe the playful Barbary macaques.
Overnight in guesthouse near the falls.
Day 2: Ouzoud – Aït Attab Valley
Start trekking after breakfast through olive and almond groves, passing small Berber hamlets. Follow a scenic trail across rolling hills towards Aït Attab Valley, one of the most fertile regions in the Middle Atlas.
5–6 hours trekking.
Homestay or camp near Aït Attab.
Day 3: Aït Attab – Aït Ouchen
Continue along mule tracks through walnut groves and terraced fields. Cross several small villages, meeting locals along the way. Gradual climb to Aït Ouchen, surrounded by mountain peaks and forests.

Day 4: Aït Ouchen – Taghleft Village
A scenic day’s walk through oak forests and ridges with wide panoramic views. Descend into the beautiful Taghleft area, a quiet and authentic Berber village.

Day 5: Taghleft – Aït Abbas Plateau
Morning ascent to the Aït Abbas Plateau, where you can enjoy open views of the Atlas foothills. The area is rich in birdlife and dotted with shepherd trails. Afternoon rest and exploration of the plateau.

Day 6: Aït Abbas – Assaka Valley
Descend through pine forests and traditional stone villages. Picnic by a small stream, then continue to the lush Assaka Valley, known for its orchards and red-earth landscapes.

Day 7: Assaka – Bin El Ouidane Lake
Today’s trail leads through hills and valleys until the shimmering Bin El Ouidane Lake appears in the distance. Arrive at the lake by afternoon — relax, swim, or enjoy a short boat ride.

Day 8: Bin El Ouidane – Azilal – Return
After breakfast by the lake, drive to Azilal town, where your trek ends. Optional transfer back to Ouzoud or Marrakech.
