For 6 days, you will walk through breathtaking landscapes: green valleys, impressive canyons, high plateaus and isolated Berber villages.
This trek, accessible to good walkers, combines adventure, nature and human encounters . You will follow in the footsteps of the M’Goun River, cross its narrow gorges with red walls, and share the daily life of the inhabitants of the High Atlas.

Itinerary: Trek in the Aït Bouguemez Valley and the M’Goun Gorges – 6 Days
Day 1: Marrakech – Azilal – Aït Bouguemez Valley (1,800 m)
Early morning departure from Marrakech towards the central High Atlas. You will cross the mountainous landscapes of the Azilal region before arriving in the Aït Bouguemez Valley , nicknamed the Happy Valley .
Installation in a local lodge, meeting with your trekking team (guide, cook, muleteers).
Short acclimatization walk in the surroundings.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Aït Bouguemez.
5 to 6 hours of driving.
Day 2: Aït Bouguemez – Tizi n’Aït Imi (2,900 m) – Tighremt n’Aït Ahmed
The trek begins with a gradual climb to the Tizi n’Aït Imi pass (2,900 m), offering a spectacular panoramic view of the Aït Bouguemez valley and the High Atlas mountains.
Descent to the village of Tighremt n’Aït Ahmed , located at the entrance to the M’Goun gorges.
Dinner and overnight stay with locals or in a local lodge.
6 to 7 hours of walking.
Day 3: Tighremt n’Aït Ahmed – M’Goun Gorges – Ouzighimt
This is one of the most beautiful days of the trek!
You will follow the course of the M’Goun River , often walking in the water (up to your ankles or knees depending on the season). The narrow gorges , sometimes more than 200 meters deep, offer an impressive setting of red cliffs and refreshing shade.
Arrival at the village of Ouzighimt , a true haven of peace in the heart of the valley.
Dinner and overnight in a lodge or bivouac.
6 to 7 hours of walking (mostly in the water).
Day 4: Ouzighimt – Aguerzka – Tiranimine
Continue the hike along the M’Goun Valley, lined with picturesque villages and lush gardens.
Discover Berber rural life: cultures, traditional architecture, and the hospitality of the locals.
Walk to Tiranimine , a small, peaceful village.
Dinner and overnight stay in a lodge.
5 to 6 hours of walking.
Day 5: Tiranimine – Boutaghrar
Last major stage of the hike through the M’Goun Valley.
Varied landscapes: red cliffs, wind-sculpted rock formations and terraced fields.
Arrival in Boutaghrar , known for its adobe kasbahs and panoramic views of the Valley of Roses.
Dinner and overnight stay with a local or in a local lodge.
5 to 6 hours of walking.
Day 6: Boutaghrar – Kelaa M’Gouna – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, transfer by vehicle to Kelaa M’Gouna , famous for its rose cultivation and its annual festival.
Continue to Ouarzazate and then Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains.
Arrival in the late afternoon.
