- Itinerary :
We start from Ouarzazate and drive to Taznakht, famous for Berber carpets and saffron. After a short visit, we continue to Foum Zguid, where you can walk around the village and see the old kasbah. From here, we drive a short distance into the desert and start a gentle hike across the Iriki dry lake, enjoying the wide open space and desert views. Overnight in a desert camp near Iriki Lake.
After breakfast, we begin our full day trek across the desert towards the Chegaga dunes. Walk through rocky plains, small valleys, and sand tracks, enjoying the desert landscape on foot. Camel support is available for luggage or rest. Arrive at Chegaga dunes in the late afternoon. Climb the dunes to watch sunset. Overnight in a desert camp at Chegaga.
Today is a day of desert trekking with cultural stops. Walk with your guide to a hidden oasis, meet nomad families, share tea, and learn about their daily life. Visit a nomad school to see how children study in the desert. Short hikes in the surrounding dunes provide amazing views. Overnight in Chegaga desert camp.
After breakfast, trek through the desert towards Mhamid, the last village before the Sahara ends. Explore small valleys and dunes on foot, with optional camel support if needed. Meet nomad families along the way. Dinner and overnight in a desert camp near Mhamid.
Leave Mhamid and walk a short trek along the Draa Valley, surrounded by palm trees and kasbahs. Stop in Zagora and Agdz to see Berber villages and kasbahs. Overnight in a hotel or guesthouse in Agdz.
On the last day, trek a short distance in the morning through the valley before driving back to Ouarzazate. Enjoy the final views of the mountains and palm groves. Tour ends in the afternoon at your hotel or riad.
