- Itinerary :
Your adventure begins in Foum Zguid at 15:30, where you’ll meet your guide and driver. If you’re traveling with a small vehicle, we will ensure it is safely parked. Your 4×4 journey will take you through the picturesque Tajine Mountains, where you’ll stop to explore the lush oasis of Elagermia, an important water source in the region. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to discover ancient fossils—remnants of a time when the Sahara was covered by the ocean.
As you continue toward Lake Iriki, a dried salt lake, enjoy its stark, dramatic beauty as it leads into the vast Sahara. Upon arrival at your desert camp, you’ll be greeted with traditional Moroccan mint tea and local pastries.
In the evening, experience a camel ride to the top of Erg Chegaga’s towering dunes. Watch the sunset over the Sahara, a moment that will stay with you forever. Later, indulge in a traditional nomadic dinner, followed by live Berber music around a roaring campfire.
After a hearty breakfast, your day begins with a visit to the old village of Sidi Abd Enbi, a site steeped in history and traditional architecture. As you explore, you’ll gain insight into the lives of the local people who have thrived in this region for centuries.
Next, journey to the Oasis of Zawiat, a serene desert paradise where you can marvel at the greenery surrounded by golden sand. Continue deeper into the Sahara to visit a nomadic school, where you’ll meet local children and learn about their unique way of life.
Following this cultural experience, enjoy lunch with the nomads, sharing stories and enjoying a homemade meal.
In the afternoon, you’ll travel through the mesmerizing golden dunes of the Sahara and arrive at Erg Chegaga, one of Morocco’s most impressive dune systems. Settle into your luxurious desert camp and take in the breathtaking views. In the evening, enjoy a Moroccan dinner and live music under a starry sky.
After a peaceful breakfast, leave Erg Chegaga behind as you head towards Mhamid Elghizlane, a desert town with historical significance. Along the way, you’ll pass through a network of lush oases, where ancient irrigation systems continue to sustain life in this arid landscape.
In Mhamid Elghizlane, you will visit a local pottery workshop, where artisans craft beautiful clay products using traditional methods. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore a Koranic school and an ancient Jewish Kasbah, both of which provide valuable insight into the region’s rich and diverse cultural heritage.
Your journey continues toward Zagora, the gateway to the Sahara, marking the end of your unforgettable desert adventure. You’ll leave with cherished memories of Morocco’s captivating landscapes, traditions, and the warm hospitality of the desert.
