Itinerary: Toubkal Trek 4 Days from Marrakech
Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil (1,740 m) – Tizi Mzik (2,660 m) – Azib Tamsoult (2,250 m)
Morning transfer from your accommodation in Marrakech to the village of Imlil, the starting point of the trek (approximately 1.5 hours’ drive).
Meet your mountain guide and the local team (muleteers, cook). The trek begins towards the Tizi Mzik Pass, offering impressive panoramic views of the Imlil Valley and the Toubkal Massif.
Continue to Azib Tamsoult, where the sheepfolds used by nomads in the summer are located.
Dinner and overnight stay in a Berber refuge or lodge.

Day 2: Azib Tamsoult – Ighouliden Falls – Col d’Aguelzim (3,560 m) – Toubkal Refuge (3,206 m)
After a hearty breakfast, hike to the Ighouliden waterfalls, among the highest in the massif, before continuing the ascent to the Aguelzim Pass.
This passage offers spectacular views of the High Atlas, the deep valleys, and the surrounding peaks.
Descend to the Toubkal refuge, where you will spend the night in a warm atmosphere among hikers.
Dinner and overnight at the refuge.
6 to 7 hours of hiking.
Day 3: Ascent of Mount Toubkal (4,167 m) – Return to the refuge – Aremd (1,900 m)
Wake up early to begin the ascent of Mount Toubkal. The climb is demanding, but the reward at the summit is magnificent: a 360° panoramic view of the entire High Atlas, the Haouz plains, and the distant desert.
After a moment of contemplation, descend to the refuge for breakfast, then continue to the village of Aremd, a charming Berber hamlet perched high in the mountains.
Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional lodge.
8 to 9 hours of walking in total.
Day 4: Aremd – Imlil – Marrakech
Last leisurely morning to enjoy the serenity of the High Atlas Mountains.
Easy walk to Imlil through orchards, streams, and cultivated terraces.
Meet the locals, discover the Berber way of life, then transfer back to Marrakech.
Arrival in the late morning or early afternoon.
