On day two, continue your trekking in Chegaga Dunes, making your way toward Erg Zahar, a set of mesmerizing dunes known for their sweeping views. Here, you’ll experience the serenity of the desert as you watch the sunset from the top of the dunes before settling in for a peaceful evening in camp.

Today’s trek leads you deeper into the desert to Erg Smar, a less-traveled part of the Sahara that offers a quiet escape. Enjoy a picnic lunch under the shade of desert trees and explore the surrounding area. Set up camp at Erg Smar and enjoy another beautiful desert night.
Continue your trek through Chegaga Dunes, reaching the towering dunes of Erg Chegaga, Morocco’s largest and most impressive sand dunes. After setting up camp, take time to hike the dunes and experience a spectacular desert sunset. Tonight, enjoy a traditional Moroccan feast under the stars.
On day five, trek towards the surreal Lake Iriki, a vast, dry salt flat. This landscape offers unique beauty, with its white, cracked earth and quiet expanses. It’s a place to reflect on the journey so far, and you’ll camp near the lake before heading back to Mhamid.
The final day of your 6 Days Trekking in Chegaga Dunes takes you back to Mhamid. You’ll travel by camel or 4×4 across the dry salt flats and rocky desert terrain, arriving back in Mhamid by the afternoon, where your Sahara adventure ends.
