- Itinerary :
Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Zagora. Travel south to the nomad village of M’hamid, often called “The Gate to the Sahara.” From there, venture deeper into the desert by 4×4, crossing hammada (rocky desert), dunes, and oases.
Arrive at Erg Chegaga, where the dunes rise up to 300 meters, and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch. Spend the afternoon exploring the dunes, trying sandboarding, and embarking on a camel trek. End your day with a stunning sunset before dinner is served at your desert camp. The evening features local nomadic music under a star-filled sky. Overnight in nomadic-style tents.
Start your day with an unforgettable sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. Spend the morning exploring the vast desert landscape, with opportunities for camel trekking, hiking the dunes, or simply relaxing in the tranquil setting.
After lunch, visit nearby natural oases and meet nomadic families who live in the desert. Learn about their traditions and daily lives. Return to the camp for dinner and another magical evening of music and storytelling around the campfire.
Wake early to enjoy the serene sunrise one last time before breakfast. Begin the return journey, passing through the desert landscapes and stopping at the pottery village of Tamegroute. Witness traditional pottery-making techniques and browse handmade ceramics.
Continue to Zagora, where your adventure concludes with a drop-off at your hotel or preferred location.
