Leaving Zagora involves crossing the Jebel Bani mountains to reach the great sand dunes of Lake Iriki.
We will pass through breathtaking canyons, high mountains and as one of the highlights of this tour, we will spend a night at guelta, a natural swimming pool in the desert mountains.
Swimming in a natural pool is an experience not available in many places.
Only the nomads of the region know where these ponds are and whether they are filled with water.
The last night we will celebrate at Bivouac les Nomades.
The trip begins in Zagora.
In Elfayja we will meet our camel team.
We will cross Jabel Bani to the other side to reach the Diabi oasis.
Then walk around the Ouad Elmhasser mountain range to Elmsaffi guelta.
The mountains surrounding guelta are worth spending a whole day there and exploring.
Sunset and night under the stars.
Then we will go to JEbel Bani.
From there we will go to Erg Lihoudi to explore the sand dunes.
We will then join the “Bivouac les nomades” camp, where we will have a fun night in this fully equipped camp. Return to Zagora.
