Start a thrilling two-day desert trip from Agadir to the Sahara Desert visiting the spectacular Erg Chegaga Desert. This tour is suitable get acquainted with the fabulous views and indigenous people of the Moroccan Sahara. Erg Chegaga or Chigaga contains one of the largest quantities of dunes in the area and will not fail to provide a truly captivating experience.
From Agadir travelling through the South of Morocco and arriving to Erg Chegaga Desert.
Morning Departure: The tour departs in the morning from Agadir and will take 2 – 2 ½ hours driving. Don’t be surprised but while heading away from the coastal city, you will pass through some of the most colourful scenery in Morocco.
Journey to Foum Zguid: The drive-through takes you through stretches of the Anti-Atlas mountains, where the view is amazing, and you get to see many Berber villages. You will proceed to Foum Zguid the entry place to the Sahara desert.
Lake Iriki: Indeed, starting from Foum Zguid, the situation becomes more or less adventurous. You will also cross over the sandy Lake Iriki plain which is characterized by an even and strangely beautiful landscape.
Arrival at Erg Chegaga: By late afternoon, you will get to the great Erg Chagaga dunes. These create huge dunes some of which rise to 300 meters; these make it among the best in Morocco.
